Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb thinly sliced flank or sirloin steak
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce or tamari
  • 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup

Method
 

  1. Whisk olive oil, garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, honey, and black pepper in a bowl.
  2. Add steak and coat evenly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
  4. Cook steak 2–3 minutes per side until browned and medium-rare.
  5. Rest steak for 5 minutes, then slice against the grain.
  6. Warm reserved marinade briefly and drizzle over steak before serving.

Notes
