Method
- Slice oranges into 1/4-inch rounds.
- Combine sugar and water in a saucepan; heat until sugar dissolves.
- Add slices in a single layer and simmer 45–60 minutes.
- Turn slices occasionally until peels appear translucent.
- Arrange on a wire rack and dry 24–48 hours.
- Roll in sugar or dip in chocolate once fully dried.
Notes
Dry oranges thoroughly for 24–48 hours to achieve ideal chewy, non-sticky texture.
