Ingredients

  • 4 salmon filets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil

Method

  1. Season salmon with olive oil, salt, and pepper and let rest 10 minutes.
  2. Sear salmon 3–4 minutes per side until golden, then remove and set aside.
  3. Add butter to the skillet and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, lemon juice, cream cheese, and parmesan until smooth.
  5. Add parsley and basil and simmer 1 minute to infuse flavor.
  6. Return salmon to skillet, spoon sauce over top, heat 1–2 minutes, and serve immediately.

Notes

Avoid overheating cream sauce, do not overcook salmon, and add garlic only once butter is gently heated to prevent burning.
