Ingredients
  

  • 1 15.25 oz box cake mix (any flavor)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil or 7 tbsp melted butter
  • Optional mix-ins 1 cup: chocolate chips, M&M's, Rolos, chopped nuts, mini marshmallows

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix cake mix, eggs, and oil together in a large bowl until a cohesive dough forms.
  3. If dough is too sticky, chill 15–30 minutes.
  4. Scoop dough onto baking sheet, leaving 2 inches of space between cookies.
  5. Add desired mix-ins or gently press them onto the tops.
  6. Bake 9–11 minutes until edges are set and centers remain soft.
  7. Cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

Avoid overbaking—cake mix cookies firm up as they cool. Chilling sticky dough helps cookies keep their shape.
