  • 8 hot dogs beef, pork, or turkey
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/4 cup mustard for attaching candy eyes
  • 1/4 cup ketchup for eyes or facial details
Optional Garnishes:
  • Candy eyes or edible googly eyes
  • Yellow mustard for mouth details

  • Vegetarian or plant-based hot dogs
  • Gluten-free crescent roll dough
  • Turkey or chicken hot dogs for leaner options

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll crescent dough and press perforations together into one sheet.
  3. Cut dough into thin strips about 1/4–1/2 inch wide.
  4. Wrap strips around hot dogs, leaving gaps to resemble mummy bandages.
  5. Arrange on baking sheet and bake 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Cool slightly, then attach candy eyes with mustard or ketchup.
  7. Add small mustard lines for mouths if desired.

Notes

Leave gaps in the wrapping to create authentic mummy effect. Always apply candy eyes after baking to prevent melting.
