Ingredients
  

  • 1 box Angel Cake Mix Use gluten-free mix for lighter treat.
  • 100 g Sugar Coconut sugar can be used.
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon Consider adding nutmeg.
  • 60 ml Vegetable Oil Can use canola or coconut oil.
  • 60 g Cinnamon Sugar Mixture Combine equal parts sugar and cinnamon.
  • 120 ml Chocolate Sauce Rich addition for dipping.

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Batter by following the package instructions for the angel cake mix. Let it cool completely after baking.
  2. Form Bite-Sized Balls by scooping small, uniform portions of the cooled cake and rolling into balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Mix Coating by combining sugar and cinnamon in a mixing bowl. Stir until well blended.
  4. Heat Oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Ensure oil reaches 350°F (175°C) for crispy exterior.
  5. Fry the Bites in batches, careful not to overcrowd the pan, for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Coat in Cinnamon Sugar immediately after frying by letting excess oil drip off, then rolling the bites in the mixture.
  7. Serve and Enjoy warm, ideally drizzled with chocolate sauce and garnished with fresh berries.
