- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a bowl, whisk sugar and self-rising flour.
- Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Whisk until smooth.
- In another bowl, mix brown sugar, flour, oats, and pecans.
- Cut in softened butter until crumbly.
- Pour batter into a greased baking dish.
- Layer banana slices evenly over batter without stirring.
- Sprinkle streusel topping over bananas.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden and bubbling.
- Cool for 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for best flavor. Do not stir layers. Toast pecans beforehand for deeper flavor. Best served warm.
