  • 1 packet 1 oz taco seasoning mix
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • Optional: zest and juice of 1 lime
  • Optional: diced red bell peppers or jalapeños
  • Optional: 1/4 cup fire-roasted corn
  • Optional: sliced green onions or canned green chiles

Method
 

  1. Soften Cream Cheese: Let the cream cheese sit at room temperature for 20–30 minutes for a smooth texture.
  2. Combine Base: In a large mixing bowl, stir softened cream cheese and sour cream together until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add Rotel: Drain Rotel tomatoes thoroughly and fold into the creamy base until evenly mixed.
  4. Mix in Seasonings & Cheese: Add shredded cheddar, ranch seasoning, and taco seasoning. Stir until well combined.
  5. Customize: Fold in any optional ingredients such as cilantro, lime zest, or diced peppers.
  6. Chill: Cover and refrigerate for 1–3 hours (or overnight) for best flavor development.
