Method
- Pat chicken dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium and melt butter in the same skillet.
- Add garlic and sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Return chicken to skillet and spoon sauce over top.
- Simmer 5–7 minutes until chicken is coated and heated through.
- Optional: Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens.
- Rest chicken briefly, garnish, and serve.
Notes
For best results, pound chicken breasts to even thickness and avoid burning the garlic. Serve with rice or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
