Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 –2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Brown gel food coloring or cocoa powder
  • White icing for football laces

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter and allow to cool slightly.
  3. Whisk butter with sugar, then add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake until set.
  7. Cool brownies completely before removing from pan.
  8. Cut brownies into football shapes using a cutter or knife.
  9. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to create icing.
  10. Color icing brown and spread over brownies.
  11. Pipe white icing to create football laces.

Notes

Let brownies cool completely before decorating to prevent icing from melting. Use a cookie cutter for clean football shapes.
