Method
- Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add grated ginger and minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and water, stirring to combine.
- Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, salt, and white pepper.
- Bring the broth to a boil.
- Gently add frozen wontons and stir lightly to prevent sticking.
- Reduce heat and simmer until wontons are tender and floating.
- Ladle soup into bowls and garnish with chopped scallions.
- Serve hot.
Notes
Use low-sodium broth and soy sauce to control salt levels. Do not overboil to keep wontons tender.
