Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 5 ounces Ghirardelli melting wafers dark or milk
  • Red pink, or white melting wafers (optional)
  • Valentine’s sprinkles

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 13x9-inch pan with parchment for easy removal.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan, remove from heat, and add chocolate morsels and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly, then add vanilla.
  4. Fold in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder just until combined.
  5. Spread batter into the pan and bake 22–24 minutes until a toothpick shows moist crumbs.
  6. Cool completely, cut into squares, drizzle with melted wafers, and add sprinkles.
