Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries hulled and chopped
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons sugar or maple syrup
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

Method
 

  1. Blend strawberries with sweetener until smooth.
  2. Whisk matcha powder with hot water until fully dissolved and frothy.
  3. Add strawberry puree to the bottom of a glass.
  4. Add ice cubes on top of the strawberry layer.
  5. Slowly pour milk over the ice.
  6. Top with prepared matcha.
  7. Garnish if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

Use hot, not boiling, water for matcha to avoid bitterness and grainy texture.
