Ingredients

  • 2 fresh lobster tails 4–6 oz each
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 500°F and position the rack near the broiler.
  2. Rinse the lobster tails and cut the top shells lengthwise using kitchen shears.
  3. Gently loosen and lift the meat over the shell, keeping it attached at the base.
  4. In a bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, salt, black pepper, parsley, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Place lobster tails meat-side up on a lined baking sheet.
  6. Brush generously with the garlic butter sauce, reserving some for serving.
  7. Broil for 6–8 minutes until the meat is opaque and reaches 140–145°F.
  8. Remove from the oven and rest for 2 minutes.
  9. Drizzle with remaining garlic butter and serve immediately.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking. Lobster cooks quickly and should remain tender, not rubbery.
