Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (or thighs for juicier texture)
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth low-sodium
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter divided
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • Salt and cracked black pepper to taste
  • Optional: caramelized onions shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese, and fresh parsley for garnish

Method

  1. Season Chicken: Pat chicken dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Sear the Chicken: Heat 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through (165°F). Remove and set aside.
  3. Build Sauce: Add remaining 2 tbsp butter to skillet. Stir in minced garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Create Sauce Base: Pour in chicken broth and honey. Stir, scraping up browned bits from the pan for added flavor.
  5. Simmer: Return chicken to skillet, spooning sauce over pieces. Simmer 5–7 minutes until sauce thickens and coats chicken.
  6. Optional Cheese Finish: Sprinkle cheese over chicken, cover for 1–2 minutes to melt.
  7. Serve & Garnish: Remove from heat, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra richness, use thighs instead of breasts. Avoid burning the garlic—cook just until fragrant. Let the sauce simmer gently to thicken naturally.
