Ingredients

  • cups semisweet or dark chocolate chips
  • cups creamy peanut butter
  • 5 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • cups mini pretzels broken
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • cups red and green M&Ms
  • 1 cup mini peanut butter cups
  • Christmas sprinkles optional
  • ½ tsp coconut oil optional, for smoother chocolate

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine Rice Chex cereal and broken mini pretzels.
  2. Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter together using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Pour melted mixture over cereal and pretzels, stirring gently until evenly coated.
  4. Spread mixture on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for 30 minutes to partially set.
  5. Transfer to a large bowl and add powdered sugar in small increments, tossing gently until evenly coated.
  6. Refrigerate for another 30–60 minutes until the coating is firm.
  7. Stir in M&Ms and mini peanut butter cups once mixture is completely chilled.
  8. Serve immediately or package in festive bags for gifting.

Notes

Chill the coated mixture before adding powdered sugar to ensure even coverage. Add candies only after chilling to prevent color bleeding.
