Method
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F.
- Mix mashed potatoes, cheese, breadcrumbs, green onions, egg, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Form mixture into evenly sized balls.
- Freeze potato balls for 15 minutes.
- Spray air fryer basket with oil.
- Place potato balls in a single layer.
- Air fry for 10–12 minutes, turning halfway.
- Cool slightly and serve immediately.
Notes
Freezing the potato balls before cooking prevents cheese from leaking during air frying.
