Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb lean ground beef 90/10
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta until al dente and reserve one cup of pasta water.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet, sauté onion for 3-4 minutes, then add garlic for 1 minute.
  3. Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and brown for 6-7 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat and pour in heavy cream; add pasta water gradually until sauce thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  6. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until fully coated.

Notes

Always lower heat before adding cream or cheese to prevent curdling; reserve pasta water for perfect sauce consistency.
