Ingredients

  • 2 large apples Gala, Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, cored and diced
  • 2 ripe pears cored and diced
  • 1 cup seedless grapes halved
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1/2 cup toasted pecans optional
  • 1/2 cup orange segments optional
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon optional

Method

  1. Wash all fruits thoroughly. Core and dice apples and pears into bite-sized pieces. Halve grapes, prepare pomegranate seeds, and segment oranges if using.
  2. Toast pecans in a skillet over medium heat for 3-5 minutes until fragrant, then let cool.
  3. Whisk together maple syrup, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and cinnamon in a small bowl until emulsified.
  4. In a large bowl, gently combine apples, pears, grapes, pomegranate seeds, and oranges.
  5. Pour dressing over fruit and toss gently until evenly coated.
  6. Top with cooled toasted pecans and serve immediately or refrigerate for 30 minutes to meld flavors.

Notes

Use ripe, crisp fruits for best flavor and texture. Lemon juice in the dressing helps prevent browning. Prepare fruits and dressing separately if making ahead, then combine before serving.
