Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract; mix until smooth.
- Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until combined.
- Fold in chopped cherries, cherry juice, and white chocolate chips if using.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheets and press a whole cherry into the center of each.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on baking sheet briefly, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Drain chopped cherries well to prevent excess moisture in the dough.
