- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, thawed Cool Whip, and the large egg. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated and a sticky dough forms. For easier handling, you may chill the dough for 15–20 minutes.
- Using a spoon or a cookie scoop, form tablespoon-sized balls of dough. If desired, roll each ball in powdered sugar to create a beautiful crinkle effect on the baked cookies.
- Place the dough balls approximately 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly set and the centers remain slightly soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking pan for 5 minutes before carefully transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. This helps them firm up without breaking.
