- Line a 9x9-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add mini marshmallows and milk, stirring until smooth, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and mix in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add powdered sugar while stirring until thick and smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in chopped gumdrops and nuts.
- Pour mixture into prepared pan, pressing it evenly. Cool for at least 2 hours.
- Once set, lift nougat out of the pan, cut into squares, and store in an airtight container.
