- Sprinkle flour over mushroom mixture, stirring constantly for 1 minute.
- Gradually pour in broth while stirring to avoid lumps. Bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat and stir in milk. Simmer 5 minutes until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
- Ladle into bowls, garnish with thyme, and serve hot.

Use a mix of mushrooms for deeper flavor. For dairy-free, swap milk with oat or almond milk. Add heavy cream for extra indulgence, or use gluten-free flour if needed.
