Churro Cheesecake Bars

Deliciously creamy cheesecake wrapped in flaky crescent rolls, topped with a sweet cinnamon sugar blend.

Ingredients
  

  • 450 g cream cheese softened
  • 100 g granulated sugar for filling
  • 1 large egg
  • 5 ml vanilla extract
  • 2 can Pillsbury crescent dinner rolls
  • 100 g granulated sugar for topping
  • 15 g ground cinnamon

Equipment

  • 9x13-inch baking pan

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup sugar and 2 Tbsp cinnamon for the topping.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the sugar, egg, and vanilla; blend until creamy.
  4. Spray a 9×13" baking pan with non-stick spray and sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on the bottom.
  5. Roll out one can of dough on waxed paper and press into the bottom of the pan over the cinnamon sugar.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on top of the dough.
  7. Roll out the second can of dough and place it over the cream cheese layer.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar on top and bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

These bars are best served warm, and can be enjoyed with a scoop of ice cream for an extra treat!
