  • 480 ml freshly brewed strong coffee or espresso
  • 120 ml whole milk or heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground ginger optional
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 60 ml Irish cream liqueur or bourbon optional
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Ground cinnamon for garnish
  • Ground nutmeg for garnish

Method
 

  1. Brew a strong coffee or espresso using 25% more grounds than usual.
  2. In a saucepan, gently heat milk or cream until steaming. Whisk in brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and optional ginger until sugar dissolves.
  3. Pour brewed coffee into mugs, then slowly add the spiced milk mixture, stirring gently.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract and, if desired, Irish cream or bourbon. Adjust sweetness and spice to taste.
  5. Top with whipped cream, dust with cinnamon and nutmeg, and serve immediately for a festive presentation.

Notes
