- Brew a strong coffee or espresso using 25% more grounds than usual.
- In a saucepan, gently heat milk or cream until steaming. Whisk in brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and optional ginger until sugar dissolves.
- Pour brewed coffee into mugs, then slowly add the spiced milk mixture, stirring gently.
- Stir in vanilla extract and, if desired, Irish cream or bourbon. Adjust sweetness and spice to taste.
- Top with whipped cream, dust with cinnamon and nutmeg, and serve immediately for a festive presentation.
Notes
Use oat milk for dairy-free, maple syrup for natural sweetness, or decaf coffee for evening enjoyment. Serve in ceramic mugs by the fireplace or as a centerpiece for holiday brunch.
