Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F and prepare a baking sheet or cast iron skillet.
- Cook ground beef over medium heat until fully browned.
- Add taco seasoning and water, stir, and simmer until thickened.
- Arrange half of the tortilla chips on the baking sheet.
- Sprinkle half of the cheeses over the chips and top with half of the beef.
- Add remaining chips, beef, and finish with remaining cheese.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and top with tomatoes, onions, jalapeños, sour cream, guacamole, and cilantro.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Use sturdy tortilla chips to prevent sogginess and add fresh toppings after baking for best texture.
