  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned, breaking it into crumbles.
  3. Add diced onion, season with salt and pepper, cook 2 to 3 minutes, then drain excess grease.
  4. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, vinegar, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. Slice slider buns in half and place the bottom layer in the baking dish.
  6. Spread half of the special sauce over the buns.
  7. Evenly layer cooked beef, cheese slices, and pickles.
  8. Spread remaining sauce on the top buns and place them on the sliders.
  9. Brush buns with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
  10. Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
  11. Uncover and bake an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are golden.
  12. Remove from oven, add shredded lettuce, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Add the lettuce after baking to keep it crisp. These sliders are best served fresh and warm.
