Best Strawberry Cheesecake Donuts-Easy Recipe

Fluffy, golden fried donuts stuffed with creamy strawberry cheesecake filling and dipped in a sweet vanilla glaze — this viral homemade treat tastes like pure bakery magic in every bite.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup warm milk 105–115°F
  • tsp active dry yeast
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar divided
  • 3 –3½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
  • Oil for frying
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup strawberry jam or preserves
  • 2 cups powdered sugar for glaze
  • 3 –4 tbsp milk for glaze
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract for glaze

Method
 

  1. Combine warm milk, 1 tbsp sugar, and yeast and let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and remaining sugar.
  3. Add yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg.
  4. Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth, adding flour if needed.
  5. Let dough rise in a greased bowl for 1–1½ hours until doubled.
  6. Punch down dough and roll to ½ inch thickness.
  7. Cut into donut shapes and let rise again for 30 minutes.
  8. Heat oil to 350°F and fry donuts 1–1½ minutes per side until golden.
  9. Drain on a wire rack.
  10. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  11. Fold in strawberry jam to create swirls.
  12. Whisk together glaze ingredients.
  13. Poke a hole in each donut and pipe in filling.
  14. Dip tops in glaze and let set for 15 minutes.

Notes

Do not skip the second rise for fluffy donuts. Maintain oil temperature at 350°F for best results. Fill donuts while slightly warm for easier piping. Chill filling if too soft.
