Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven: Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined.
- Combine wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla and buttermilk.
- Combine wet and dry: Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined—do not overmix.
- Add sprinkles: Gently fold in red and green sprinkles using a spatula.
- Transfer and bake: Pour batter into prepared loaf pan, smooth the top, and sprinkle with coarse sugar or extra sprinkles if desired. Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool: Let bread cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Use jimmies-style sprinkles to avoid color bleeding. Don’t overmix the batter—stop when ingredients are just combined for the best texture. To make ahead, store tightly wrapped at room temperature for 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Great for gifting or serving at holiday brunch!
