Ingredients

  • 3 chicken breasts cut into cubes
  • 1 pound pasta penne or fettuccine
  • 6 kaiser rolls or crusty sourdough rolls
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 jar Alfredo sauce about 15 oz
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 3 –4 teaspoons garlic and herb seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Method

  1. Season chicken with garlic and herb seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat and cook chicken 6–8 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  3. Cook pasta in salted water according to package directions until al dente, then drain.
  4. Cut tops off rolls and hollow out centers to form bowls.
  5. Mix melted butter with garlic and herb seasoning and brush inside bread bowls.
  6. Toast bread bowls at 375°F (190°C) for 4–5 minutes until lightly crisp.
  7. Add cooked pasta and Alfredo sauce to chicken and stir to combine.
  8. Fill bread bowls with chicken Alfredo mixture.
  9. Top with Parmesan cheese and bake 4–5 minutes until cheese melts and bread is golden.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

Brushing the bread with garlic butter helps prevent sogginess and adds rich flavor. Drain pasta well before mixing with sauce.
