Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F and position rack in center.
- Pat chicken dry and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat oil in oven-safe skillet and sear chicken 3–4 minutes per side.
- Whisk pineapple juice, brown sugar, and soy sauce until sugar dissolves.
- Pour glaze over chicken.
- Add pineapple slices over and around chicken.
- Bake 25–30 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F.
- Transfer chicken to platter to rest.
- Whisk cornstarch and water, add to skillet, and simmer 2–3 minutes until thickened.
- Pour sauce over chicken and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
Use an oven-safe skillet large enough for good searing. Always dissolve brown sugar fully before cooking for a smooth glaze.
