Ingredients

  • 1 cup cream cheese room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup apple pie filling
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 package phyllo dough thawed
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Fold in apple pie filling and cinnamon gently.
  4. Unroll phyllo dough, keep covered with damp towel. Brush one sheet lightly with melted butter.
  5. Cut buttered phyllo into 4-inch squares. Place 1 tbsp filling in center of each.
  6. Bring corners together and twist to seal into bundles.
  7. Bake 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Cool 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Do not overfill phyllo squares—stick to 1 tbsp filling for best results. Watch closely in final baking minutes as phyllo browns quickly.
