Ingredients

  • 900 g split chicken wings drumette and winglet
  • 45 ml olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp aluminum-free baking powder optional

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Method

  1. Pat the chicken wings very dry with paper towels to remove surface moisture.
  2. In a large bowl, mix olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. If using, stir in baking powder. Add wings and toss until fully coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 2 minutes.
  4. Place wings in a single layer with space between each piece. Cook in batches if needed.
  5. Cook at 400°F for 24–25 minutes, flipping halfway through. Wings are done when the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the skin is golden and crisp. Let rest for 5 minutes before saucing.
  6. Toss hot wings with ½ to ¾ cup sauce until coated and serve immediately. Let rest for 2–3 minutes so the sauce sticks.

Notes

These wings are best served hot and can be tossed in your favorite sauce for added flavor.
