A rich, creamy crab dip inspired by Joe’s Crab Shack that’s perfect for parties, game days, or cozy nights in. This easy, oven-baked appetizer delivers irresistible seafood flavor in every bite.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

  • 1 cup lump crab meat (fresh or pasteurized)

  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional substitutions:

  • Greek yogurt instead of sour cream

  • Neufchâtel instead of cream cheese

  • Hot sauce for heat

  • Smoked paprika for depth


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and mayo until smooth.

  • Add seasonings, Worcestershire sauce, and fold in lump crab meat gently.

  • Stir in cheeses and green onions. Reserve some cheese for topping.

  • Spread mixture into a baking dish and top with remaining cheese.

  • Bake for 20 minutes or until golden and bubbly.

 

  • Let cool 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with extra green onions if desired.

Notes

  • Best served warm in a skillet or ceramic dish.

  • Avoid overmixing crab to preserve texture.

  • Not ideal for freezing due to dairy content.
