These Tortilla Wraps with Ground Beef are a quick, nutritious, and family-approved meal packed with seasoned beef, fresh veggies, and melty cheese — perfect for busy weeknights or make-ahead lunches.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground beef (90/10 recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup water (optional)
  • 6 large flour tortillas (10-inch size)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican-blend cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • ½ cup diced green onions
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 avocado, sliced (optional)
  • Sour cream for serving (optional)
  • Salsa for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  2. Add ground beef, break apart with a spoon, and cook until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add ¼ cup water if needed and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Warm tortillas using microwave (between damp paper towels), skillet, or oven until soft and pliable.
  5. Assemble each wrap with ¼ cup beef mixture, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, green onions, cilantro, and optional avocado slices.
  6. Fold tortilla: bottom up, sides in, and roll tightly. Serve with sour cream and salsa.

Notes

Customize these wraps with turkey, chicken, or plant-based protein. Add more veggies like bell peppers for a nutritious boost. For gluten-free, use corn tortillas. Greek yogurt is a great sour cream substitute.
