Description
A cozy, creamy homemade pumpkin spice latte made in just 10 minutes—crafted with real pumpkin, warming spices, and bold espresso. A healthier, more flavorful fall favorite than any coffee shop version.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup whole milk (or almond, oat, or coconut milk)
- 2 tablespoons pure pumpkin purée
- 1–2 tablespoons maple syrup or brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 shot (1.5 oz) freshly brewed espresso or 4 oz strong coffee
- Optional: whipped cream and extra pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon for garnish
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine milk, pumpkin purée, sweetener, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla. Whisk until well blended.
- Place over medium heat and cook until hot and steaming, whisking occasionally. Do not boil.
- Meanwhile, brew espresso or strong coffee.
- Remove milk mixture from heat. Pour into mug and stir in espresso.
- Froth if desired using a frother, whisk, or French press. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of spice if using.
Notes
Use pure pumpkin purée, not pie filling. To make ahead, prepare the milk base and store in the fridge for up to 1 week. Adjust sweetener to taste.
