Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons pure pumpkin purée
  • 12 tablespoons maple syrup or brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 shot (1.5 oz) freshly brewed espresso or 4 oz strong coffee
  • Optional: whipped cream and extra pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine milk, pumpkin purée, sweetener, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla. Whisk until well blended.
  2. Place over medium heat and cook until hot and steaming, whisking occasionally. Do not boil.
  3. Meanwhile, brew espresso or strong coffee.
  4. Remove milk mixture from heat. Pour into mug and stir in espresso.

Notes
