Description
Fun, spooky, and delicious hot dog mummies wrapped in crescent dough – the ultimate Halloween recipe that’s ready in just 30 minutes!
Ingredients
Scale
- 230g crescent dough (1 tube)
- 8 bun-length hot dogs
- 1 slice white American cheese
- Ketchup, for eyes and garnish
- Mustard, for eyes and dipping
- Optional substitutions: turkey or chicken sausages, vegetarian hot dogs, pizza dough, mozzarella cheese, or cream cheese for eyes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll crescent dough, pinch seams to form a rectangle, and cut into 8 thin strips.
- Wrap each hot dog with a strip of dough, leaving a small space near the top for eyes.
- Bake for 15 minutes, until dough is golden brown.
- Cut cheese into 16 small circles for eyes.
- Attach cheese eyes to hot dogs with ketchup, then add ketchup or mustard dots for pupils.
Notes
Pat hot dogs dry before wrapping so dough sticks properly. Don’t add eyes before baking or they’ll melt. Imperfect wrapping creates authentic mummy bandages.
