Instructions
- Rinse cranberries, discard any soft or damaged ones, and pat completely dry.
- Combine 1 cup sugar and water in a saucepan; bring to a boil and simmer 3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add cranberries, stirring gently to coat.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Drain cranberries in a fine-mesh colander, reserving syrup if desired.
- Roll damp cranberries in remaining sugar in small batches until fully coated.
- Place on a wire rack and dry for at least 1 hour before serving.
