  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients

    • If using frozen shrimp, thaw and pat them dry.
    • Chop the broccoli into bite-sized florets.
    • Mince the garlic.
  2. Sauté the Shrimp

    • Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
    • Add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
    • Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
  3. Cook the Broccoli

    • In the same pan, add the broccoli and 2 tbsp of water.
    • Cover and steam for 3-4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
  4. Prepare the Sauce

    • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, red pepper flakes, and cornstarch (if using).
  5. Combine and Serve

    • Add the shrimp back to the pan with the broccoli.
    • Pour the sauce over and toss to coat everything evenly.
    • Cook for 1-2 more minutes until heated through.
  6. Enjoy!

    • Serve hot with rice, quinoa, or on its own.

Notes

  • For a low-carb version, serve over cauliflower rice.
  • Add bell peppers or snap peas for extra veggies.
