Description

This Lemon Butter Lobster Roll is buttery, zesty, and packed with tender lobster meat tossed in melted butter and fresh lemon, all served in golden toasted buns for an easy gourmet seafood meal.


Ingredients

  • lb live Maine lobster
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp fresh tarragon, chopped
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 top-split hot dog buns

Instructions

  1. Bring 1 inch of water to a boil in a large pot fitted with a steamer basket.
  2. Add lobster to steamer, cover, and steam for 12–14 minutes until bright red.
  3. Melt butter in a small saucepan with tarragon, lemon juice, and salt over low heat.
  4. Melt a small amount of butter in a skillet and toast buns until golden.
  5. Remove lobster meat from tail and claws using kitchen shears.
  6. Split tail meat lengthwise and toss all lobster meat in lemon butter.
  7. Divide lobster evenly between toasted buns.
  8. Drizzle with extra lemon butter and serve immediately.

Notes

Do not oversteam the lobster, as this can make the meat tough. Serve immediately for best flavor and texture.
