Description
Cake mix cookies are the ultimate shortcut dessert—fast, flavorful, and endlessly customizable. With only three core ingredients and under 30 minutes from start to finish, these cookies deliver bakery-quality results with minimal effort, making them perfect for busy schedules or last-minute cravings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (15.25 oz) box cake mix (any flavor)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil or 7 tbsp melted butter
- Optional mix-ins (1 cup): chocolate chips, M&M’s, Rolos, chopped nuts, mini marshmallows
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix cake mix, eggs, and oil together in a large bowl until a cohesive dough forms.
- If dough is too sticky, chill 15–30 minutes.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheet, leaving 2 inches of space between cookies.
- Add desired mix-ins or gently press them onto the tops.
- Bake 9–11 minutes until edges are set and centers remain soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
Avoid overbaking—cake mix cookies firm up as they cool. Chilling sticky dough helps cookies keep their shape.
