For the Beef
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
For the Stir Fry
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Green onions, chopped
Instructions
- Slice flank steak against the grain and combine with soy sauce and cornstarch. Marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add beef in a single layer and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining oil to the pan. Stir-fry onion, bell pepper, and garlic for 3–5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Add ginger and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Return beef to the pan, add beef broth and oyster sauce, and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes.
- Drizzle with sesame oil, season with salt and pepper, and garnish with green onions.
- Serve hot with rice or noodles.
