Description
Make rich, all-natural pumpkin spice syrup at home in just 10 minutes—perfect for coffee, desserts, cocktails, and more, with no artificial ingredients.
Ingredients
Scale
- ¼ cup pumpkin puree (fresh or canned)
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 cup water
- ¾ cup white granulated sugar
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine pumpkin puree, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves. Stir constantly for about 1 minute to release spice aroma and cook off raw pumpkin flavor.
- Add water and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is smooth.
- Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally. The syrup should thicken slightly.
- Remove from heat and strain through a fine mesh strainer into a clean jar or bottle. This ensures a smooth, grit-free syrup.
- Cool to room temperature, seal tightly, and refrigerate. Shake before each use.
Notes
Use brown sugar or maple syrup for flavor variations. Double-strain for extra smoothness. Store refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
