How to Make Lemon Balm Drink for Weight Loss

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh lemon balm leaves (or 2 tablespoons dried lemon balm leaves)
  • 2 cups filtered water
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
  • A few slices of fresh ginger (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey (optional)
  • A few mint leaves or green tea leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse fresh lemon balm leaves gently under cold water and pat dry, or measure dried leaves if using.
  2. Bring 2 cups of filtered water to a boil, then let it cool slightly to 160–180°F (70–80°C).
  3. Add lemon balm leaves to the hot water. Include ginger slices or mint if desired. Cover and steep for 10–15 minutes.
  4. Strain the liquid into a mug or pitcher, discarding the leaves and any solids.
  5. Stir in lemon juice, honey, or other flavorings as desired.
  6. Serve warm for relaxation or chilled over ice for a refreshing detox beverage.
