Ingredients

- 1 cup fresh lemon balm leaves (or 2 tablespoons dried lemon balm leaves)
- 2 cups filtered water
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
- A few slices of fresh ginger (optional)
- 1 teaspoon raw honey (optional)
- A few mint leaves or green tea leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse fresh lemon balm leaves gently under cold water and pat dry, or measure dried leaves if using.
- Bring 2 cups of filtered water to a boil, then let it cool slightly to 160–180°F (70–80°C).
- Add lemon balm leaves to the hot water. Include ginger slices or mint if desired. Cover and steep for 10–15 minutes.
- Strain the liquid into a mug or pitcher, discarding the leaves and any solids.
- Stir in lemon juice, honey, or other flavorings as desired.
- Serve warm for relaxation or chilled over ice for a refreshing detox beverage.
