How to Make 4th of July Oreo Balls

  • Total Time: 2–3 hours (including chilling)
  • Yield: 30-36 balls 1x

Description

Festive, no-bake 4th of July Oreo Balls made with red, white, and blue candy coating – a perfect patriotic dessert for your summer party!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 family-size package (about 45 cookies) regular Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 12 oz white chocolate or white candy melts for coating
  • 68 oz red candy melts
  • 68 oz blue candy melts
  • Red, white, and blue sprinkles or star-shaped sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Place Oreos in a food processor and pulse until finely crushed, or crush in a plastic bag using a rolling pin.
  2. Beat softened cream cheese until smooth, then mix in Oreo crumbs until fully combined.
  3. Use a 1-inch scoop to form balls and roll them smooth with your hands. Place on baking sheets.
  4. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or freeze for 15–20 minutes until firm.
  5. Melt white, red, and blue candy melts in separate bowls, microwaving in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  6. Dip Oreo balls into melted chocolate using a fork, tap off excess, and place back on parchment paper. Add sprinkles while chocolate is still wet.
  7. Use melted white chocolate in a piping bag to drizzle stripes on red balls, or add red and blue drizzle on white balls for variety.
  8. Chill decorated balls for at least 10 minutes until coating is set.

Notes

Use room temperature cream cheese to ensure smooth mixing. Add sprinkles immediately after dipping to help them stick well.
