  • Total Time: 65 minutes
  • Yield: 6 apples 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Festive Peppermint Bark Apples made with crisp apples dipped in dark chocolate, rolled in crushed candy canes, and finished with a white chocolate drizzle for the ultimate holiday treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 medium apples
  • 6 wooden sticks or skewers
  • 12 oz dark or semi-sweet chocolate
  • 6 oz white chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or shortening
  • 1 cup crushed candy canes

Instructions

  1. Wash and completely dry the apples, then insert wooden sticks into the tops.
  2. Melt dark chocolate with coconut oil in 30-second microwave intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Dip each apple into the melted dark chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
  4. Place apples on parchment paper and refrigerate for 15 minutes until set.
  5. Roll or sprinkle apples with crushed candy canes while chocolate is slightly tacky.
  6. Melt white chocolate until smooth.
  7. Drizzle white chocolate over the apples using a spoon or piping bag.
  8. Refrigerate for 30 minutes until fully set before serving.

Notes

Make sure apples are completely dry before dipping to prevent the chocolate from seizing. Chill between layers for best results.
