- 12 oz pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne)
- 28 oz crushed tomatoes
- 4–5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain pasta.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes and simmer for 5–7 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low and slowly add heavy cream, stirring continuously.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
- Add reserved pasta water as needed to adjust consistency.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Keep heat low when adding cream to prevent separation and use freshly grated Parmesan for best texture.
