Description

Crispy Potato Cheese Bombs are golden, crunchy potato bites filled with gooey melted cheese, baked to perfection for the ultimate comfort food appetizer everyone loves.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups starchy potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika or chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Extra cheese cubes for stuffing

Instructions

  1. Boil diced potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, then drain well.
  2. Mash potatoes until smooth and let cool slightly.
  3. Mix in cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Form potato mixture into golf ball-sized portions.
  5. Press a cheese cube into the center of each ball and seal completely.
  6. Roll each ball in breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes until fully coated.
  7. Place on a parchment-lined baking tray.
  8. Brush each bomb with melted garlic butter.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes.
  10. Brush with more garlic butter halfway through baking.
  11. Bake until golden brown and crispy.
  12. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Use starchy potatoes like Russets for best texture. Make sure the cheese is fully sealed inside to prevent leaking while baking.
