Description
Buttery, garlicky lobster tails broiled to tender perfection in under 20 minutes for an easy, restaurant-quality seafood dinner at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 fresh lobster tails (4–6 oz each)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 500°F and position the rack near the broiler.
- Rinse the lobster tails and cut the top shells lengthwise using kitchen shears.
- Gently loosen and lift the meat over the shell, keeping it attached at the base.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, salt, black pepper, parsley, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes.
- Place lobster tails meat-side up on a lined baking sheet.
- Brush generously with the garlic butter sauce, reserving some for serving.
- Broil for 6–8 minutes until the meat is opaque and reaches 140–145°F.
- Remove from the oven and rest for 2 minutes.
- Drizzle with remaining garlic butter and serve immediately.
Notes
Use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking. Lobster cooks quickly and should remain tender, not rubbery.
