  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A quick, flavorful Shrimp Casserole Recipe combining tender shrimp, al dente pasta, and a sweet–spicy garlic sauce baked to bubbly perfection—perfect for weeknights or meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (optional)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • Salt for boiling water
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Sesame seeds, toasted
  • Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped
  • Extra red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti 8–10 minutes until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, drain, and toss with butter.
  2. Pat shrimp dry and season with salt, pepper, and 1 tbsp soy sauce; add cornstarch if using and let marinate 5 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and sear shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink; remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté garlic 1 minute, then whisk in soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, sriracha, rice vinegar, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and water. Simmer 3–4 minutes until thickened.
  5. Toss cooked pasta into the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed. Fold in shrimp, then bake at 375°F for 10 minutes until bubbly.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds, parsley or green onions, and extra red pepper flakes. Serve hot.

Notes

Avoid overcooking shrimp to prevent toughness; use reserved pasta water to maintain sauce silkiness; adjust spice level to taste for family-friendly servings.
